The 1st IEEE International Workshop on Social Computing and Security (SocialSec2015)

Social computing emerges and attracts a lot of attentions due to dramatically-developed online social networks, more powerful smart devices and tablet computers. It covers a variety of theories, applications and services, which facilitate and protect social interactions among heterogeneous users for sharing information and knowledge in social networks. It changes existing modes of business, public health and even society, as well as provides more challenges on trust, privacy and security. This workshop aims to provide a forum for researchers and technologists to discuss latest progress, challenges and prospects in the area of social computing.

Topics

SocialSec 2015 welcomes original contributions on recent developments about social computing and security. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Social computing theories and foundations
  • Game theory and incentives in social computing
  • Social behavior modeling and prediction
  • Crowdsourcing and collective intelligence
  • Social computing for social policies and public health
  • Information propagation and viral marketing in social networks

  • Emerging of cooperation behaviors in social networks
  • Social media analytics and media Intelligence
  • Community analysis in social networks
  • Social media based public opinion analysis
  • Application or industrial experience of social computing

Submission

All papers need to be submitted electronically through the conference website (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=socialsec2015) with PDF format. The materials presented in the papers should not be published or under submission elsewhere. Each paper is limited to 6 pages (or 8 pages with over length charge) including figures and references using IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style (two columns, single-spaced, 10 fonts). You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines at the following web page: http://www.computer.org/web/cs-cps/
Once accepted, the paper will be included into the IEEE conference proceedings published by IEEE Computer Society Press (indexed by EI). At least one of the authors of any accepted paper is requested to register the paper at the conference.
